Adult guests are welcome at most of the general membership meetings of the Branchburg Woman’s Club.

Meetings

Most General membership meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month at 7:30 p.m., but the schedule is subject to change. Our usual meeting place, the Little Red Schoolhouse, should be available  for this year’s club meetings.  This schoolhouse is actually the South Branch School, located at 2120 South Branch Road (near Studdiford Dr.).  Driving directions are posted on the Directions page of this Web site.  An online map is available courtesy of MapsOnUs.com*.

If the schoolhouse’s renovations interfere, then the meetings may move to Branchburg’s Whiton Hills Community Center, located in the lowest level of building #10 of the Whiton Hills Complex.

A general membership meeting’s program includes a guest speaker, a department presentation, or a social activity such as a potluck dinner, plus refreshments and a club business meeting.  For driving directions to the Little Red Schoolhouse or Whiton Hills location, click here.  Click on the green “Calendar” menu button on the left for a list of general membership meetings and events.

Departments are special interest groups within the club that generally meet on a monthly basis at the home of a club member.  The departments offer club members the opportunity to pursue similar interests through projects and activities.  From September through May, the Literary and Game Departments meet in the evening while the Afternoon Gourmet Department meets at lunchtime.

Club activities and groups change to reflect the evolving interests of the club members.  For instance, a new department could be created if there are enough club members interested in establishing it. One of the newest groups is a game-playing group. Some of the previous departments have included 2 arts and crafts groups, an evening gourmet group, a traveling tots group, and a garden group.

“The greatest power of this organization is the women whom you meet along the way;

 the women with whom every member shares important milestones in the path of life…

No other organization so completely defines sisterhood as does our Federation.”
