Founded in 1960, the Branchburg Woman's Club is a proud member of the New Jersey State Federation of Women's Clubs* and the General Federation of Women's Clubs. Our club is a non-profit organization of women volunteers who share a common desire to help the community while participating in creative, fun, and educational activities as time permits. |

BWC membership and the occasional club project can be a fun way to give back to the community. A look at our club membership will show that even busy women find participating in club activities worthwhile. As many find, it’s a way to feel more a part of the community, meet new people with similar interests, and learn new things. Club activities have evolved along with the interests of the club members. The club also has extracurricular groups, called departments. Some meet in the daytime and some meet in the evening. Activities may range from crafts, gourmet food appreciation to film and book discussions. New departments can be created as needed. Fun day trips, evenings out, and special social events add to the fun. Meeting from September through May, typically on the third Thursday evening of the month, the club’s general membership meetings begin with a guest speaker or an activity. Then there are refreshments, followed by brief club reports and announcements. Click on the appropriate menu button on the left to read about the club’s calendar of meetings and events. *The NJSFWC and the GFWC
Founded in 1894, the New Jersey State Federation of Women's Clubs’ membership now consists of approximately 275 clubs, making it New Jersey's largest volunteer women's service organization. Moreover, it is a member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs, the oldest and largest nonpartisan, non-denominational women's volunteer community service organization in the world. Started originally as means of promoting women’s education and societal reform, the GFWC is now an international group with over 10 million members in 30 countries. All three groups share the goals of encouraging altruistic endeavors, education, and sisterhood. |
